What I Do

I’ve spent most of my career designing, building, and operating systems that have to hold up under real constraints. That includes environments with hardware dependencies, intermittent connectivity, and failure modes that don’t show up in clean lab conditions. The work is usually about making things reliable, observable, and maintainable rather than just functional.

A large part of that has been architecture and implementation across different cloud platforms — systems that needed to scale, recover cleanly, or remove ongoing operational load. I’ve also led and mentored teams of strong engineers, focusing on clear decision-making, technical depth, and shipping work that continues to run without constant intervention.

Current Interests

Right now I’m focused on what becomes possible when AI tools, agents, and bots are treated as part of the engineering workflow rather than as a side experiment. I’m looking at how these systems can change the way we design, build, debug, and operate software — especially the points where human judgment and machine capability meet.

That includes exploring different tools for code, design, automation, and long-running tasks, and figuring out which combinations actually move the work forward instead of just adding noise.
